There's nothing like a little extra bang for your buck. Especially these days with outrageous gas prices...who knew filling up my car could be so depressing...and rising costs everywhere you look. It makes coming across a sale or great bargain even better. American Apparel's Bandeau Jersey Dress gives you 15...that's right 15...different looks in one teeny little dress. It can be worn strapless, asymetrical, as a halter and even a high-waisted skirt. And at $36 I've got to say this is a pretty good deal.

Last night the remaining Idol contestants took the stage to sing...well showtunes...yeeks...nothing worse than a bunch of bad broadway renditions! Thankfully a couple of the ladies held my interest with some stellar dress choices...almost cancels out the less than stellar song choices...and don't even get me started on Brooke's "oops can we start over" moment.
Carly wore this adorable Mod-inspired mini dress by Philip Lim. Her cute look almost made up for the fact that I find her totally annoying...almost...

And Brooke looked very cute in this sleeveless butterfly print dress by Alice+Olivia. I love the styling giving her a sash belt around the waistline..cute.
Designer Collaborations have been all over the place lately from the Go International Collections at Target to Vera Wang at Kohl's to Karl Lagerfeld at H&M....I for one am starting to despise the term "designer collaboration". When I heard Stella McCartney was doing a collection for LeSportsac I rolled my eyes...I mean come on Stella! You already have a line of activewear with Adidas and have done a collabo with H&M!! Let's try to not oversaturate the market! But then I laid eyes on this beauty and I take it all back. The mix of textures and the neutral colorblocking detail are fabulously on-trend without being too trendy.
Spring is in the air! The trees are blooming, flowers popping up everywhere and the air is getting warmer. Very soon those summer wedding, fundraiser and shower invitations will be filling up your mailbox. This strapless silk dress is perfectly summery-y and fresh showcasing this season's trends of tailoring(the floaty babydoll looks of last spring/summer are over and done) and Ombre printing...a technique that blends different shades to create a gradient effect. So JCrew has always been kinda stuffy to me...I mean they are good for a black cardigan or white tailored shirt but...for stylish, chic pieces? Ehhh I'll pass... I don't know whose idea these mirrored metallic leather d'orsay sandals were but...I'll just say bravo JCrew...BRA-VO!!!
