American Idol hopeful Kady Malloy hit the stage last night and sang a really sad rendition of...honestly I don't recall because I was forced to mute the BUT her adorable jeweled dress truly caught and kept my attention.

LOVE the dress! The singing...not so much...

My new crave is the SHOE BOOTIE PEEP OPEN TOE BOOT...that description about covers it all. Below are a few looks that Candace and I created to make a hot shoe EVEN HOTTER!

But have you seen this baby in store!?!?

I'm sure by now you've seen the Old Navy safari ads/commercials. Not to long ago Candace blogged about their tooooo cute safari play suit! But have you seen the clutches from the safari line in store? They're huge enough to cure my craving for an over sized clutch! (Available in several colors and patterns)

Have a few Cocktails

We saw them in September during Fashion Week Spring 2008, and I was excited to see what would become of cocktail shorts......or should I say any shorts made of satin, sateen, silk, or taffeta in bold colors and patterns. A fun way to add some zing to a Spring/Summer look. Have your cocktails and wear them too!

Handle It

There's something about adding a vintage suitcase like handle to a tote that makes it super extra cutesy lol! I can handle these two in the worse way......

The British are COMING!!!

It's official...the head honchos at Topshop have finally signed a lease for space here in Manhattan!!! Rumors are swirling of an October 2008 grand opening in Soho. What's Topshop you ask?'s been labeled the world's best cheap-chic store. That's right it's cheap AND chic AND crossing the pond shortly. Until then they do have a fabulous website and quite conveniently ship to the U.S. I may need to holla at these peep toe boots...

Spring Things

As far as shopping goes...February sucks. All the stores are starting to put out spring merchandise and here in NYC there is still snow on the ground and a major chill in the air. I recently spotted these carved wedges by Stella McCartney and instantly fell in love. The 60's vibe of the wood sole and denim detail is too cute for words and would go perfect with the shift dresses that we'll be wearing in a few months! But for some reason these are priced at $1,195! No, I am not joking...$1,195 for something that is essentially all manmade materials! But the good part of seeing spring merchandise early in the season is knowing what will be hot...what will be sooo hot that companies like Steve Madden (aka the Copycat King) can't help but to make a more wallet-friendly version. We will be on the lookout. But if you're on your way to St. Tropez and can't wait, Neiman Marcus has you covered..

Seen Alicia Keys performance at the Grammys? Those earrings had me in a trance! Could've been the stage lights and the performance itself, but either way these earrings are head turners! I despise the term "GHETTO FABULOUS", but perfect description for this revamp of the bamboo hoop.

Marc the Spot

It never fails...MARC has done it again! Can't describe the feeling that came across my sunglass loving mind when I saw Marc Jacob's latest creation....

One of the Top Spring Trends of 2008: Floral. A nice feminine print that looks hideous on my body in a dress or blouse form lol. Since I'm an accessories freak I thought it'll be safe for me to combine the two. And more flower power to you if you can rock a flower dress!

I know in the cyber world posting grammy pics the TUESDAY after the Grammys seems pointless. I'm sure by now these images are old news, but there's something about candid stylish pics that makes me all warm inside lol.....

It's Like a Jungle Sometimes...

From Old Navy's "Urban Explorer" collection, this safari-inspired romper is too cute for words. Pair it with flat thongs and hoops and you're ready for war...or lunch with the girls, whatever you prefer.

I'm a big fan of tote bags. In my mind a tote equals something quick to grab and cute for those errand running days, as a work bag along side your purse, or as a bag for a books/magazines/psp for those salon hours. Either way it's a do! I grew tired of seeing those "I'M NOT A PLASTIC BAG" totes everywhere and was happy to see this little number over at

Back to Black

NY Fashion Week kicked off over the weekend. Legendary designer and fashion icon, Diane von Furstenberg showed that our cries for inequality on the runways were heard by the CFDA president. Six lovely black models, including supermodels Liya Kebede and Alek Wek, strutted von Furstenberg's lovely Fall 2008 creations...well done Diane! Well done!!

2 in 1

Topping my "SPRING TO DO LIST"....Candy Colored Suede Heels! These babies have been catching my eye nonstop! I spotted 2 must have pairs at 9west and (of course lol) 4ever21.

And speaking of color....Marc Jacobs gave us this multicolored chunky, and I don't know about you, but I don't like CHUNKS COMING OUT MY BANK ACCOUNT lol! So I've waited to see if something similar (with a "my speed" price lol) would surface. Found satisfaction with Alloy's version(And you could not have told me a year ago I would want a pair of chunkies that didn't consist of wood! lol).
